The Art of Assisting
Jivamukti Yoga
Workshop
@ Loka Yoga & Cafe

A 3-Hour Hands-On workshop with Tatiana Koshkarova
Hands-on assists are one of the defining features of the Jivamukti Yoga method. When offered with knowledge, sensitivity and clear intention, they can help practitioners experience an asana differently, discover greater stability or space, and deepen their understanding of the practice.
For her first assisting workshop in Vienna, we are delighted to welcome our guest teacher Tatiana Koshkarova — one of the most experienced and respected teachers of hands-on assisting within the Jivamukti community. Tatiana brings extensive experience gained through countless hours of assisting, workshops, teacher trainings and practical work with students.
During this three-hour workshop, we will explore the foundations of safe, intelligent and respectful hands-on assisting. We will study how one asana can be approached through different types of assists — from gentle and accessible options to deeper variations — as well as how props and straps can support the practitioner when the full expression of a pose is not yet available. The workshop will combine clear explanations, demonstrations and plenty of hands-on practice in pairs.
This workshop is especially relevant for:
- Jivamukti Yoga teachers who have completed a 75-hour or 300-hour training;
- practitioners preparing to attend these trainings;
- teachers of Vinyasa, Hatha and other yoga methods who would like to integrate hands-on assists into their classes;
- dedicated practitioners who want to understand the principles and experience of assisting more deeply.
The workshop is open to both teachers and practitioners.
